This is the replacable friction ring for your Herb Ripper grinder. Simply remove the old, worn out ring, gently guide the new one on but do not push it all the way down. Lastly, put the lid on the grinder and slowly push the fri thin ring down until you hear a pop. The ring is now seated in place.
